HOW
TO GET TO SYLVAN LAKE: |
|
|
|
|
• |
Coming
south from Edmonton or north from Calgary on Highway 2, you can
turn onto Highway 11, traveling west for about 15 km. |

The intersection
of Highway 11 and Road 781 is the centre of the beach-front and
just north of that you can see the beach along the lake shore |
|
|
|
|
• |
There
you can also find the spot for our start and finish lines of both
the Race and Tour events. |
|
|
|

Along
this same east-west highway (11), you will find a number of restaurants
and hotels for dining and accommodation, with a view of the lake. |
|
|
|
|
|

TRAVEL: |
|
|
|
|
• |
Both
Edmonton and Calgary have International Airports, but there is no
passenger train connection from Calgary or Edmonton to Red Deer.
However, the Greyhound Bus Line can take you to Red Deer from both
of these cities. |
