Hello Skaters,

This year there will be no 200 km. event. A race/tour of this magnitude requires much responsibility and high costs. Also, there is a lot of extra work developing and maintaining a 10 km. track. We have not had enough skaters registered for this event to justify these extra expenditures. Our organization believes that the main 100 km. race/tour (the longest race distance in North America) will be a respectable alternative.

We hope you all will come again this year to support our event. Thanks for your understanding.

Banquet & Dance;

To be held Saturday, March 3, 7:30 PM., at the Tournament House, Sylvan Lake. Tickets are available from Dirk & Elizabeth Appel; phone (403) 886-2980. We would appreciate if you could order your tickets as soon as possible, as there are only a limited amount for sale. Cost is $30.00 per ticket.

• Two categories: Men (all ages), Women (all ages)
  
• The tour will start at 1:00 P.M.
• Entry Fee: $10.00 (Kids 16 and under skate free)
• In this tour event the skater has the opportunity to skate a minimum of 5 Km. and a maximum of 50 Km.
• This tour event is created to attract and introduce skaters from other disciplines such as hockey and figure skating, as well as children of all ages to find out what it's like to skate longer distances.
• A medallion will be awarded after the completion of 5 Km.
